Radmard Ministry
The goal of Radmard Men’s Ministry is to create a safe and intimate space for men so that, along with teaching men to know their world, their identity in God, their roles as sons, husbands, fathers, etc., they can express themselves and hear from each other and participate together.
From Reza Forutanpey, founder of Radmard Men’s Ministry:
For the past four years, God has led me to serve men specifically, and as I faced to the differences and problems of several couples in my church household, I became more aware of how much less space men had to express or suppress their feelings, and with the patriarchal culture in Iran, deep damage has been done to themselves and their relations. In this regard, I thought and prayed for a long time and ordered books from Iran so that I could find a broader view in this regard. Although I am a man myself, I have personally been greatly blessed during these studies and have felt this need for church men more.
Since 2019, I started this service individually with several brothers in Iran and Turkey, but I needed to spend more time with them more purposeful and with courses in this special field. In the meantime, I knew that it was not possible to do this service alone, and to have colleagues and companions with a beating heart in this service, and even to have people with a paternal heart, I prayed a lot that God would put people next to me so that we could be a team and serving together. It was very interesting to me how after a while God put these people in my way and a team was formed. They are pastors and church leaders and have many ministry experiences. After telling my dream and praying with them, they responded positively to me, and today they stood by me to provide the necessary infrastructure for this great service and to move forward.
Since 2020, every year we have a weekly online meeting with a group of 20 men, and our goal is to provide appropriate lessons for them and have individual and group participation, also to heal the thoughts and feelings of these dear ones, have programs that are rooted in cultural-family and social issues. We also hold face to face conferences and online seminars in which we invite some other servants to train them.
In 2021, the Radmard website was launched, where articles, educational videos and podcasts related to men are posted along with the online version of the Bible, and in this way, many resources can be made available to men and even women (for getting to know more about the world of men and their needs). These resources are also available through Telegram, Instagram and YouTube, and in this way, many men communicate with us, send us messages, ask questions about various topics, share their suggestions and opinions and etc.
Our goal in Radmard is to create a safe and intimate space for men so that, along with teaching men to know their world, their identity in God, their roles as sons, husbands, fathers, etc., they can express themselves and hear from each other and participate together.
During these years of service in Radmard, we have heard the testimonies of many different men who, through this service, have become more aware of themselves and the world around them, and have been healed from feelings such as rejection, shame, fear, anger, and unforgiveness. They have taken effective steps in their families and peace and healing have flowed, they have established a deeper relationship with God, their worldviews have changed, for example, their outlook towards women has changed and….
Hearing these testimonies makes me very happy and grateful that through this guidance and this dream, how God is working among Iranian men so that whatever was planted by mistake and lies is uprooted and men find their place in God, in the family, church and society and shine for the glory of God.
Although studying psychology and Christian theology has helped me a lot in how to do this service, I always ask God for wisdom and guidance so that I can fulfill this dream in the kingdom, not just with knowledge and experience, but with the anointing that God has given and the presence of Holy Spirit.
Finally, considering the importance and necessity of this service and the request of many people and groups to participate in these courses, our prayer and effort is to expand this service as much as possible. It is hoped that by standing next to our brothers, we can strengthen, encourage, and revive each other and God’s good work will be reflected in us.
